How much do I love photographing an engagement session in New Orleans?
Almost as much as I loved these guys.
I adore photographing couples who just GO with it, y’all – and Jamie and Michael were just such a couple! The New Orleans French Quarter is an iconic spot for an engagement session, and these two made NOLA look good. Up for anything, they hustled in the heat and craziness that is the French Quarter – and they looked hot doing it! We walked along the Riverwalk, watched a few street shows, and tried not to make eye contact with the creepy silver street performers.
(If you’ve ever been in NOLA…you know what I mean!)
We got beignets at Cafe du Monde, had a lot of fun getting some street car images, and made the most of the sunny day while dancing in all of the busy chaos that is Jackson Square. Jamie even laid a penny on the street car track like she used to as a little girl, for luck!
There’s just something about holding each other close in the midst of a busy crowd that screams romance, to me. It doesn’t get much busier than this city in the middle of the day, but for these two, no other people existed just then!
