Baton Rouge Bridal Photography at the Hilltop Arboretum
Can we talk about how happy I am to FINALLY be able to share bridals of these gorgeous brides of mine? Because, hello, you don’t truly understand impatience until you photograph brides as amazing as mine. And then have to SIT on the images for weeks on end, waiting until after the wedding to share them.
On a related note, my husband is really glad my weddings are finally actually being performed–because this means that he’s not the only person I can (enthusiastically) share these bridals with.
I hadn’t met Elizabeth before photographing her bridal session – we’d mostly talked over email and via phone. When she stepped out of her car, my jaw dropped, because even before she got into her dress, girlfriend was a knockout. Then when she stepped out of the changing room, I got even happier – her dress was blush pink! She went a non-traditional route for her wedding dress, and I’m a big fan of doing your wedding your way. You only do it once, right? Might as well own every detail and make it you. The pink was a perfect contrast to the soft greens of the foliage at the Hilltop Arboretum, and really made her reflection in the still waters of the lake pop. Even her ring was uniquely her – sapphires in a gorgeous antique setting! She was every bit as sweet and laid-back as a chick could possibly be, too. I had so much fun photographing her, and am so excited to be a part of her big day.
You were flawless, Elizabeth. I pretty much had the hardest time ever picking my favorites from these images, but here they are!
