Baton Rouge Louisiana Engagement Photographer | Whitney and Brad

I love engagement sessions. Not everyone feels the need to have them done, but I think they're great for a few reasons - A) You get to know me, and how I work, before the wedding day--so we don't have to do that whole getting-to-know-you thing while you're trying to keep track of a million different details on a really busy day. Much more fun and relaxing this way--trust me. B) Things happen on engagement sessions - maybe it's just me, who knows, but things always happen.

Like, say, a Hanukkah celebration kicking off on the steps of the Capitol building.

There was a huge menorah. There were grown men walking around in dreidel costumes. There was Adam's Sandler's Hanukkah song blaring from loud speakers. It was glorious, and we danced to it, and I will almost certainly be humming the Hanukkah song at least once on the day of Whitney and Brad's wedding. Because, seriously, who can be nervous when THAT song is on?

So, don't be fooled by the lush greenery that is abundant during this "winter" we're having here in south Louisiana...here are a few of my favorite shots from Whitney and Brad's {Hanukkah themed} engagement session!
