This family photography session at the Hilltop Arboretum in Baton Rouge was such a special shoot for me. Almost two years ago now, I photographed this little boy Harrison’s big brother, Kason.
Kason was born a sleeping angel, and I met his parents Kendra and Jimmy through my volunteer work with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. They were both so brave, and so wonderful during such a difficult time in their lives. I was truly honored when they asked me recently to photograph six month images of their rainbow baby, Harrison.
Parents who have lost a child know better than anyone how precious photographs can be. The fact that these two wanted to include keepsakes from Kason’s short time here on earth in their rainbow baby’s photographs meant so much!
Harrison looked so dapper in his little cap and checked shirt. The Fall photo themed clothing looked great on this little guy! And, of course, the gorgeous Fall foliage at the Hilltop Arboretum made for the perfect setting. Leaves were everywhere for little hands to explore!
I’m SO happy that they have this brilliant little light in their lives, now. Here are a few of my favorite images of this beautiful little family. <3
