The very best bridal photography sessions of mine are the ones in which it feels like we’re just a bunch of friends hanging out. I just happen to have a camera in my hand at these shoots, it feels – and Laken’s session was definitely one of those. She and her sister and I just wandered around the Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge, exploring and meeting cows. (Yes, cows. Bulls, specifically – yes we did).
Laken told me before our session that she wasn’t a “typical” bride. This, my friends, is one of my very favorite things about her! Laken is funny, and real, and not like anyone else on earth.
I’m a big believer in making your bridal session–just like any session–as unique as you are. The images we take together will bring back memories of this time in your life forever – don’t you want them to be joyful ones?
You’re only a bride once. Get your princess on, fasten your tiara, and let’s rock your session together. Random bull-encounters, and all.
The light was perfect this day, the company was magical, and everything was just generally awesome. Check out a few of my favs of this now-newly-married-badass-chick.
(Spoiler alert: lots of cows and laughing).
It’s possible that someone had a crush.
Good friends help you dress in the parking lot when the changing room is locked, okay? There’s your gold standard of friendship, folks.
