This. Wedding. Was. Amazing.
Sarah and Garrett are THE cutest couple, and all of their friends and family surrounding them this day were every bit as wonderful as they were. They were fun, and loving, and laid back, and just amazing to work with all day long. And holy cow, can we talk about how fun the reception was? I've gotta admit - I was not prepared for the amount of party these guys were prepared to throw down at the end of the night - it was so awesome, and made for some really memorable photos!
These two love birds got married at Oakleigh House of Receptions in Denham Springs, with the ceremony performed by their pastor. The setting was absolutely stunning, and the weather was perfect!
Read on to experience some of my favorite moments of the day!
The flower girls were so excited to walk down the aisle, they could barely keep still all day!
When you pretend to trip in your dress, going down the stairs, and you freak out your mom, who does not think it all all funny, thank-you-very-much
(Sorry, Mom - it was kinda funny)
Just the boys being boys
So I was photographing, and then looked up, and Garrett set his shoe lace on fire. Apparently this is a military thing, meant to burn off excess threads or something. What does it say about me that I photographed first, asked questions later?
Grandma helping Garrett get ready
Practicing for the unity cross assembly
Quick kiss for almost-mother-in-law before the procession lineup. I love that mom is holding her shoes! High heels are brutal, for real.
Sarah prepares for her entrance
Last minute jitters? Possibly.
Dad gives his daughter one last kiss on the cheek before giving her away
Possibly the world's fastest unity cross assembly.
Sarah shows off her ring. <3
I love watching moms during the first dances!
Garrett's dad gives Garrett and his mom a hug after their first dance. They raised a good kid, right there!
Garrett was one of the most entertaining dancers to photograph, ever!
Someone was juuuuuust about "done".
When the Macarena comes on, and the boys join the party
The difference between bridesmaids' catches and groomsmen's catches - the girls all mob for the bouquet, while the garter landing precipitated a sudden parting like that of the Red Sea!
Sarah *apparently* pulled out a few moves that Garrett didn't know she had
Garrett had a few crazy moves of his own!
That move may or may not have gone according to plan.
