This. Wedding. Was. Amazing.
These two love birds got married at Oakleigh House of Receptions in Denham Springs, with the ceremony performed by their own pastor. The setting was absolutely stunning, and the weather was perfect!
The groom prep on this wedding brought about one of my funniest memories made while hanging with the guys. See, Garrett is an Air Force guy, a military man. Apparently, it’s a common practice to burn off stray strings and bits of fabrics from shoelaces, for them! Attention to detail in a soldier’s mode of dress is pretty important, and ingrained.
I, however, was not prepared with this knowledge. When I entered the groom prep to find the groom (seemingly) lighting his shoelaces on fire! Add to this, that Oakleigh House is a big barn – so intensely flammable. In retrospect, Garrett knew exactly what he was doing and everything was fine. But, I definitely learned something new on that one!
These two are THE cutest couple, and all of their friends and family surrounding them this day were every bit as wonderful as they were. Everyone was fun, and loving, and laid back, and just amazing to work with all day long.
Plus, holy cow, can we talk about how on fire the reception was? I’ve gotta admit – it’s impossible to be prepared for the amount of party these guys threw down at the end of the night. Memorable photos = check!
Read on to experience some of my favorite moments of the day.
