What’s better than a Prairieville Gonzales Engagement Photography session on a gorgeous, cool Louisiana evening? Not much, one would think – until the bride-to-be’s little peanut of a daughter crashes the photo session. Then it goes next-level!
Victoria and Randall are some of THE sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of shooting, and we had so much fun getting some great images on the grounds of Parc 73, where their wedding reception will be held soon! The light was just perfect (See?! THIS is why I recommend photographing at dawn and sunset, people! Trust me). Victoria’s little girl Payten sneaked in for a few shots before we got started. Holy COW is that kid gorgeous! I love it when we can incorporate little people into any photography session, really.
One of the jobs of a good photographer is knowing how to work a location. While we’d gotten some great images at Parc 73, we also wanted a few more rustic images in a field, if possible. With Victoria and Randal being country people, we were all about the rustic look!
Would you believe that this “field” location in the shots towards the end is just an empty lot in a subdivision? Knowing the right angles to shoot at, and how to frame an image can make even the most random of spots look great!
Since Victoria is a real estate agent, naturally she knew a few empty lots that worked perfectly for us. <3
Here are some of my favorite images from these guys’ engagement session!
