Somewhere, in a field in Baton Rouge Louisiana, a little magic happened during this family session, this day. Sometimes we spend a lot of time trying to make a family photography session “perfect”, when in reality things needs very little intervention! The rise of Pinterest trends makes us think that we need a lot of “stuff” to make great photos of our family. Props, and backdrops, and everything else.
I’m here to tell you, friends, that all you really need is a family who loves each other fiercely…and also, some great light. There is that.
I love this family so much – they rocked their session last year, and they nailed it again this year!
Just look at ’em. Gorgeous, every one of them. Choosing photos to blog was so difficult, because these guys just could not seem to take a bad shot! Even though the mosquitoes were out with a vengeance for their session (and I’m pretty sure we are all *still* covered in bites), the kids were in a great mood. They couldn’t have done better!
Together, we made silly faces, and played Mother May I, and had an impromptu race in which the girls left poor Smith behind in the dust.
It was basically impossible picking my favorites for this, but here are a few! <3
