Baton Rouge Bridal Photography at Rosedown Plantation | Julie

FILED IN: Wedding

This bridal photography session at Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville may be my favorite one to date, you guys! The amazing Julie of True Light Portraits agreed to model for me while my fellow photographer friend Marissa was in town.  Marissa, being from Texas, had zero experience with Spanish moss, if you can believe that! It was fun introducing her to it. 😉

Julie is absolutely the sweetest person I’ve ever met, and you can REALLY see it in her photos.  She’s one of those people that just lights up from within, and made shooting on such a chilly day so much fun!

The grounds of Rosedown Plantation are always gorgeous, but they were particularly lovely on this February morning. There’s just something about that glowy early morning light that gets me every time! The sun set the Spanish moss on fire this day, and nothing screams Louisiana bridal session quite like some Spanish moss, right?

From the sweeping front porch, to the elegant gazebo, to the stately cypress trees…it just doesn’t get better than this.

Julie’s beautiful vintage dress and classic, elegant makeup by Makeup McCarty really put her look over the edge, too–and let me tell you, I was one happy girl when I got home with these images!

Here are a few of my absolute favorites!
