Baton Rouge Family Photography Life Unscripted
It doesn’t get much cooler than hanging out with two fun, funky parents up for anything. And their baby girl for a few hours on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. A lot of times, I have to talk parents into being spontaneous and going with the flow, and it’s a little bit of a process, since the “traditional” family photographs usually involve a lot of planning and posing. I knew pretty early in the session that this was not going to be a problem with these guys, though. Riding around in their car, stopping for random photo ops, and Dad says, “Hey – wanna stop at this abandoned gas station for a shot?”
Few questions could possibly make me happier, let me tell you. I love that these guys were up for anything, and we got such cool, memorable and fun photos as a result. After running around and getting some artsy family photos around downtown Baton Rouge. We headed back to the house for play time and story time with little Eva. She loved looking at photographs of herself on the big screen (I’ve got some new material for you, kid). Pretend-drinking from her parents’ coffee cups, and keeping Mom and Dad on their toes during feeding time. One of my favorite shots is of Eva sampling the healthy “bean chips” her parents had in their pantry – her reaction was pretty hilarious. Kids are the most honest of food critics, no?
I had a great time making some great images with this little family. Eva is one lucky little girl, who is loved and loved hard. <3
