Few things make my little photographer heart happier than meeting great new people and shooting in great new locations. Who knew Louisiana had beaches, y’all? Okay, fine – maybe I kinda knew, but when’s the last time you’ve been able to just go play on one? Bogue Chitto is now officially one of my favorite locations to photograph a Franklinton Louisiana Engagement Photography session.
Brittan, David and I had plenty of time to stroll around all the crazy-gorgeous scenery that the city of Franklinton and the Bogue Chitto State Park had to offer, and just shoot and get to know one another. I love photographing engagement sessions, because we can just relax and talk–and you can get a feel for how I work. And then, as in this scenario, there may be a possibility you’ll get party crashed by dogs.
Fine – maybe that doesn’t happen on EVERY session, but it sure made me happy on this one. It was totally not even planned, but these guys’ two dogs just came running like lunatics down the beach after them, mid-shot. They have a home nearby! So, of course – I kept shooting, and I loved how their images turned out from that set. Their dogs just sat there and acted like they were canine models – it was glorious!
